This is where we'll be compiling a list of Frequently Asked Questions about the rules system and game mechanics:
The current breakdown for CP earned from an event is as follows:
1 for Pre-registration (up to 2 weeks before the event). 1 for Pre-Payment (up to 2 weeks before the event). 1 for attending. 2 for writing an evaluation, with a potential +1 for a particularity in-depth one. 2 for an in-game journal (which will never be "found" in game). Up to 5 from accumulated Essence. 1 for cleanup, with a potential +1 for requested tasks.
Timeblocks are limited to those who attended the event.
You do not need a trainer to learn skills, unless the skill explicitly states "requires in-game training" or does not appear in the rulebook at all. However, there will be a field on the Timeblock form that lets you specify how you would like to have learned a particular skill, if you want staff to know for consistency's sake (such as learning from a particular NPC). You can also just use that field to tell us what you want to learn--otherwise, you can email characters@sinsofanation.com.

I have not been able to find in the rulebook how much CP is earned for attending an event (and or other means such as clean up, writing a Post Event Letter, et.) What are we looking at for character advancement?
Also are Timeblock only availible if you attend the event prior? If a player misses an event am I correct in assuming they will not have acess to timeblocks?

As a note, because we were unable to send out all of the different "stream" of essence like roleplay and rogue encounters, all players who attended event 1 are getting 1 additional blanket CP.
Timeblocks are limited to those who attended the event, with the exception of those who have purchased Timeblock skills, which they may use even if they did not attend.

How does essence factor into CP? Is it a ratio like 5:1 or does it vary based on the event?

As of right now you need double your CP in essence to get a CP. We are aware that we didn't give out enough this event, and that the vast majority of what we gave out was only for combat (it will not be like that at event 2).
This will be restated later in an official announcement but we are going to be giving everyone a bonus point of CP for attending our first event <This information is now out of date
As of first edition the amount of essence you need for gaining CP is now outlined in the the core rulebook

When can we request an updated character sheet with our post event CP? Also, is learning skills just telling you what we want, or do we have to find trainers in TB's or IG?

In the new rules, if one has an ability that gives Crushing/Piercing and an ability that delivers an effect (e.g. 5 damage), can one do both together? That is, if I have 'Caustic Acid' and 'Concussive Gas,' which are each Tier 1 Stamina Alchemy abilities, can I throw a "Crushing 5 [Element] Toxin" and spend 2 SP to do so?

Ok, so I have a couple of questions now that my beloved grenades are scattered through the rulebook:
First, even though archer is currently restricted to using their skills through a 20 lb bow, would it be reasonable to open it up to be used with either grenade launchers, or thrown grenades, since many of them have the blast carrier?
Next, just to clarify, what would the full call be for an alchemist combining Grease, Load Grenade, and Chemical Precision? Would it be DISARM TOXIN BY BLAST, or simply DISARM BY BLAST?
Lastly, in regards to crafting blanks, it states "Each set of timeblocks, a Crafter can produce as many Blanks as their highest Tier in a Core Header dictates; a character with multiple Crafting Headers may split those Blanks among the Crafting Headers as they wish. The chart below shows how many Blanks a Crafter can produce during timeblocks according to Tier. The Crafter gains an additional free Blank for each Crafting Header they posses, one Blank of each type according to Crafting Header; these Blanks are bonuses not included in the chart below." Would this allow a tier 3 alchemist, who is also a tier 1 artisan, to produce 2 tier 4 artisan blanks per timeblock, or are you limited in the tier of artisan blanks you could craft due to only being a tier 1 artisan?

Archery Header abilities can only be used with a bow; this is due to the fact that we balanced the relative power of archery against the difficulty of using a LARP bow effectively. Grenade items, however, can be fired from a grenade launcher.
The full call for an alchemist combining Grease, Load Grenade, and Chemical Precision would be BLAST DISARM BY TOXIN.
Not only could that Tier 3 Alchemist make 2 Tier 4 Artisan Blanks, but let's use another example; If you are a Tier 3 Lancer with the Alchemist Blank Production skill, you produce Blanks as at Tier 3, even if you don't have any Alchemist skills beyond the header and Blank production. You can always use your highest Core Header Tier to determine your Blank production, and split that however you like among the Crafting Headers you have. However, it's worth noting that the bonus Blanks from each Crafting Header's Blank Production are always a Blank specific to the Crafting Header they came from; so the bonus Alchemist Blank is always an Alchemist Blank.

How might a Runesmith use runes through a gun? Is that possible? Specifically, how does Weapon Mark interact with Runesmiths?

How do skills such as Repair/Break which can be activated with stamina or focus count towards prerequisites? What of skills without a cost associated?

How do skills such as Repair/Break which can be activated with stamina or focus count towards prerequisites? What of skills without a cost associated? Abilities that use either focus or stamina can count as a prerequisite for higher tiers of either branch (declare upon purchase) Generally Core Header abilities that do not have a an activation cost do not count for prerequisites, do you have a specific ability you are inquiring about? (In case there was a typo or I'm forgetting something)
