-- A sermon concerning the seventh separatist militia and the Koda in the Commonwealth-
By the grace of the Gods of this land, Ophana has healed the land and Faelen has brought this assortment of expeditioners together. But as in all stories of this impish trickster, we cannot seize Faelen's opportunities without embracing the risks. We came here already to embrace certain risks, mainly that of a new frontier, and the blight. Those alone can seem like great odds and challenges. But more so still there are those who oppose us, who would seek to make this already arduous task even more challenging. They do so without the blessings of their government, and without the blessings of their Gods, for I say they seek to disrupt order and subvert justice committing grave infraction against Altina. They commit this injustice, this blasphemy, out of fear and ignorance. The Koda teaches us that freedom and responsibility are partners, and in the establishment of a truly prosperous society, one cannot live in the fear of loss. Our Goddess Riveda shows us that life is fleeting and should not be lived in fear, especially fear of change for change is a basic necessity. This concept is not just one of the Koda, but can be widely seen, in Thran through the Goddess Urdiv, in Valacia by the Storm Father, and in Ruzkazen by Arasharen. It is because of these truths the seventh separatists are predestining themselves for failure. Thus we shall prove them wrong, in our actions and through our great successes and prosperity. Already we have cut a hole through the Blight and begun our first venture into the lands it has kept hidden for too long. In addition we have defeated them on the field of battle, acting in our self-defense. We have stood strong and united, people of all races and nations and backgrounds and faiths came together and stood as one to rebuild this town they tried to destroy. They will continue to suffer defeats and justice whose Goddess rules in these lands, will allow us to prevail. And as the Koda shows, the prosperity of a restored Galdria via this successful expedition will spread through the Commonwealth returning your parliament's investment many times to reward your hard work and your support in your responsibility to the prosperity of this nation. Thank you, and may you reach the fullness of yourself and your potential within all your lifetimes.

- A sermon concerning Corporate Greed and Personal Freedom
The Koda teaches us that the greatest good one can have in life is the pursuit of personal passions and freedom. And nearly no one in Ora can deny that money assists one in being able to pursue their freedom. Thus the Koda does not condemn the accumulation of wealth but rather encourages it. Therefore one may ask can the pursuit of wealth ever be bad then, as I am only increasing my happiness by increasing my pockets? The answer is yes, if your pursuit of wealth impedes the happiness of others. In the Koda we have a responsibility not just to uplift ourselves, but to uplift society as a whole along with us. Thus corporations who subvert or disobey the law, or mistreat their workers, or purposely undercut and shortcut the safety of their products are not those whom we as the consumer populace should invest any support. I urge all business owners to be responsible and transparent and earn honestly with fair wages and reputable products thus we will not only earn profits but also the blessings of the Gods and Goddesses. I urge all laborers to come forward to the proper authorities if you feel your company is in seedy practices and seek out instead jobs with reputable companies where available. Lastly I urge all buyers to whenever possible, to know from where your goods and services came and make sure your wealth is going towards people you agree with on a moral basis. This is not easy, but the responsibilities of true personal freedom never are, otherwise we are merely agents of oppression and thus limiting ourselves and others from achieving true and blessed greatness. Thank you, and may you reach the fullness of yourself and your potential within all your lifetimes.

A sermon calling for environmental responsibility -
May Ophana grant you her blessings of fertility and prosperity, and may Riveda grant you light and courage. Recently I have had the blessings of encountering an ancient spirit of Galdria, the Maiden of the Spring. She was once a guardian of the land, and helper of the people. However greed and corruption, corrupted her. Not from within, but from a nearby Quicksilver mine that poisoned her and her land. She spent years trapped between both her own madness and the isolation caused by the Blight. Thankfully with the guidance of those who have come before us we were able to heal and restore her. We must remember we have only one Ora, and no one can pursue happiness and fulfillment if we are not responsible care takers of this land. As the teachings of Kesti show us that no creature is separate from the land, no amount of wealth, or influence or sorcery, can save us if this land should perish. That is why the work of the expedition is so important, we must heal the wounds of this world, and learn from them, so that we may preserve a future that benefits all of us. Thank you, and may you reach the fullness of yourself and your potential within all your lifetimes.

A sermon to those who would misuse their power
Blessing of Riveda, be upon you and may you experience the fullness of this life and your potential in Her grace. This past expedition I was blessed to make the acquaintance of an Inquisitor of the Order of Wrath. A fine, and faithful man who helped us to efficiently deal with a troubling situation. Previously a shrine to the Sin of Greed had been unearthed and was being kept for further study. However people were becoming swayed by its corrupting influence. We allowed it to be lost to a drake nest, thinking that because they were not truly sentient they could not worship and give it more power. These assumptions were regretfully wrong. The impact that our actions had on the environment drove home a powerful lesson with regards to power. Power is a marvelous thing and is seen in many forms. Some are blessed with thaumaturgical power, some physical, some financial. The Koda teaches us that those of us with more power than others have a societal responsibility to better the lives of those with less. This is part of what truly disturbs me with what I’ve uncovered in Galdria. An unknown mage, who is weaponizing Blight, is hiding in the shadows. A shadowy corporation is manipulating and creating the Separatist movement. Abuses of power are appearing quite rampantly and frequently. I have but one message for them. I serve the Goddess of light and fire, and we of the expedition are working in the land of the Goddess of truth and righteousness. There is no corner or shadow or hole in which you can forever hide. You will be found, and made to answer for your deeds. You may believe you have enough power to shield you, but in Death all peoples are equal.

---A sermon on martyrdom ---
Blessings of Riveda, be upon you. When the time comes for one's death, one hopes they can encounter it having fulfilled their life's potential. It is afterall by living such a life that one achieves enlightenment. It is a rare and blessed occasion however when one's final act is one of such perfect circumstances as to allow their potential to be met at one glorious moment. This was the final death of Araris Bloodwolf. A man who died as a noble hero in battle, whose sacrifice saved the lives of many, making his potential carry on in them. Over the course of this expedition there have been many deaths regrettably. Most have been from the separatists who continue to die in vain, and false promises, with their potential under utilized. I say to them, examine your lives. You are being misled and only hurting yourself. Return home, protect your loved ones, and attempt to die with at least half the honor as Bloodwolf, for their is no enlightenment, or peace in false martyrdom.

One of those listening to the sermon lingers slightly after it is finished, and when given the opportunity, asks, "What is it that makes the death of this Blood Wolf good, and that of the Separatists bad? Do they not both fight for their beliefs, and out of loyalty to their fellows and their ideals?"

It may seem that way, however, the Separatists are being led down a path of lies. That can be seen as in what they are fighting for, stands in direct opposition to each of their Gods. Do not the stories of Faelan teach us of the importance of progressive thinking and being innovative? Yet they seek to halt progress, discovery and fight for regression. Do not the words of Ophana speak of hospitality and amnesty? Yet they cloak themselves in xenophobia, and abandon their home duties with disregard. Finally at the head of Althaenian belief is Altina, who preaches to trust in the justice of those given the grace and responsibility to lead. Yet they stand in treason and in blasphemy to Her. How can one find loyalty in such ideals, to me it would be as foreign as being asked to purposely stifle another's potential. Such an act would be a rejection of the Koda and all I hold dear. Which is part of why I speak these words, in the hopes they return to their Gods and cease sending Dae'aren such diseased roses. No truths can be found in such deaths, in such they are tragic wastes.

-A Sermon in Praise of the Mulakaht -
Blessings of the Goddess Riveda be upon you. May the light of her fires reveal the truth in which we stand. I for one applaud the Zaheirem in their wisdom. The calling of the Mulakaht was due on time. The way of the Koda itself is being threatened. The true path of the Koda is to uplift oneself by enabling others to reach their full potential, for it is in this act that one achieves true freedom. Yet there are those who in their short sighted search for quick profits believe falsely that they may step on, and thus push down on others to raise themselves up. This may elevate you for a time, but your foundation is not secure, and YOUR TOWER WILL FALL. If I have learned anything of value during my time spent on the expedition it is the importance of working together. It is by the coming together of different races, nationalities, expertise and experiences that recently we have had our successes. When our enemies first appeared in the form of the misguided and manipulated Separatists, we stood strong because we stood together in truth. Then upon failing to deter us, they called in the Khadan mercenary Talisiin zer Surash and his Scarlet Chorus, which many thought would be our death, yet we stood together and have consistently triumphed, twice within the last expedition alone. The Thrannish avatar of Magnus was right. We are on the wrong path in our current mode we seek to isolate ourselves from the world. Now is the time to change that folly. Renounce the tariffs on Valicia, renounce any given Separatist support, we gain nothing by hedging bets on the downfall of our neighbors. Instead answer the call of Valicia and show that Khadan is willing to uplift the potential of all of Ora in the true spirit of the Koda. And to those who think they can hide in shadows, preying on global destabilization to line their own pockets, the light and fire of the Goddess Riveda will bring all things to be seen and the truth of Alraj will be known in its light. Those of us of true faith can say "WE WILL NOT BE SPOOKED. OUR TRUST IN THE WILL OF THE GODDESS IS IMPLICIT. AND THAT THE HEART OF TRUE ECONOMIC AND SPIRITUAL POWER LIES IN THE HARMONY OF TOGETHERNESS NOT BY ARTIFICIALLY STIRRING THE WATERS OF DISCORD. THE PATH YOU ARE ON HOWEVER IS ONE OF RUIN AND YOUR HOUSE WILL BE ASH."

((Among the crowd, a Homunculi watches the sermon forlornly, before being pulled away by her owner. A Valician sailor swigs cocawine, watching you speak from a windowsill nearby, keeping half an eye on the pocket watch in his other hand, but still raising his bottle at the mention of his homeland. An elderly priest holding the symbol of Yurishti, her Rhavmani markings indicating an Earth bloodline, nods silent approval at the sermon. Several onlookers jeer at the mention of the Avatar of Magnus, though none go so far as to try to speak over a celebrity priest. A gaggle of Rhavmani children, likely a class from a neighborhood school, look on with awe at the forcefulness of the sermon, earning them the grace of a pleased smile from their tutor. As the sermon wraps up, a dark-clad Mulenti man steps forward, bows to indicate his respect, and speaks;))
Khadan thrives on the quick and easy path, as it always has. What right do we have to chide the Houses about trade manipulation when right here in our homeland so many are kept low for the benefit of the mighty? Would you also condemn those that see me as a servant or a drudge, despite my many years studying philosophy and law? Would you also condemn those high Houses for reaping the future from the Enlightened? I do not think it justice to call foul only when the necks of highborn Rhavmani are on the line, but to ignore the oppression of other races and those of lesser birth when your own fortunes are safe.

(I bow back, indicating a return of respect) These days my friend, I assume nothing with certainty other than that death will equalize us all. I agree our society must change. The easy path, leads to lies and unfulfilled potential. When I say all of Ora should be uplifted by the Koda, would it surprise you to learn that I mean so literally. I have met a Hommunculi whose scientific opinion I respect. I have met Mulenti whose opinions I value on a variety of topics. I would greatly enjoy discussing law and philosophy with you over drinks. Going on the expedition has opened my eyes to the truth of Riveda's fire that lies in us all. I admit I am not the same man I was two years ago, but I have been blessed by my Goddess with many life changing experiences. Such changes are possible, I have faith in our land and our Gods, but such changes will not happen overnight and not whilst we isolate our country in foolishness.

((The crowd is quiet, even the amused looking Valician maintaining respectful silence before a conversion between a priest and a lay worshiper. The Mulenti offers a sort of helpless shrug.))
Then what action is to be taken? Do you want us to simply have faith that the Mulakaht, a meeting of the most wealthy and powerful, will change our course?

I have faith in the Gods alone. Men and women I can learn to trust, but that must be earned. I do have hope that they will do the right thing at the Mulakaht, and I do wish they take the opportunity. As for what action we can take in the moment, I would advise education, the more eyes we open, the clearer the light of truth can be seen. If the great Houses however miss this opportunity, perhaps I could get your name, and we could discuss other options?

((The crowd begins to dissipate as the conversation seems to be winding down somewhat, prayers of thanks and praise for the Koda audible as people depart to return to their business.))
The Gods, too, watch the wrongs rained upon our heads and remain silent. Perhaps we shall have the opportunity to speak again, but I'm afraid I remain unconvinced that any here are truly dedicated to real change. Maybe if we are able to speak again, you will convince me otherwise;it is in fact my hope that you will. I am Vihan Saidat, and if nothing else, I am thankful you have allowed me to speak.

I warned, that there would be fire and ash for the deeds done in darkness. AND LO AND BEHOLD THE MOUTH HAS BREATHED FIRE UPON WHAT WAS HOUSE SIDENNA! Like a great Draconic beast from our jungles the Mulakaht has brought those accountable to justice for their deeds. But alas with fire comes the shadow of smoke, and right now a dark shadow has been cast rising from the South. A people whom have claimed to have their eyes upon the Truth for so long they have become blind to it. A people who have become deaf to the Songs. A people who do not realize the aptness of their named monstrosities. These Dreadnoughts upon our coast will earn their title for WE WILL NOT DREAD! Fire has come, and with it ash and smoke. WE DO NOT DREAD, FOR THIS IS RIVEDA'S TRUEST BLESSING. The chance to be born again of the fire, for the old and useless to be burnt so that new growth may arise. Recently I had the blessed opportunity to travel to the plane of Aether, and I saw the great chain of events in which we are all apart. Prior to 133 Antiquity it was the Mulenti who ruled this land. But the South judged their Gods evil and the Koghem came and conquered. Fire and ash came, and from the ash our Rhavmani Houses. Alas these Houses have failed as well, they plotted in darkness against Valicia, and Althenia. But from this fire new life can grow! A stronger bond with our brethren across the Crescent Sea is still possible! A new Khadan must rise from these ashes, one where both Rhavmani and Mulenti can stand together strong. We must now more than ever embrace that which is truest in the Koda, that ALL POTENTIAL IS SACRED AND WE HAVE A DUTY AND OBLIGATION TO COLLECTIVELY RAISE NOT JUST THE POTENTIAL OF OURSELVES, BUT THAT OF ORA AS A WHOLE!

In Riveda's fire and light may the truth be revealed and praised. I once thought of myself as an educated and cultured man. What a fool, what a self-righteous pompous ignoramus was I. Prior to the expedition I lived in a sheltered bubble of privileged ignorance. I dare say though that if I were to draw parallel between the Althanian tradition, ignorance was not my sin. Nay it was merely a vessel for the vanity of self inflated ego to which I laid claim. To what right did I lay this claim, simple I won a lottery. My soul correctly chose a vessel that was red skinned in this beautiful country and thankfully not white or metal bound. This was no feat or skill on my part mere chance of the Gods yet I've been entitled to greater things as a result. Sin is an interesting concept. Many would point to the Koda as a religion without it. However we do have laws and guidelines. Willfully and purposely suppressing the potential of other sentient people is one of the most egregious violations of the Koda's most central law and guidline, and yet we do this daily to our Homunculi and Mulenti neighbors and employees and slaves. We have committed this crime for too long unpunished and now our streets burn. Rivera does not fear the ashes of fire however for a new life and a new Kadhaan will rise from it. The only ones who need fear are those who refuse to repent in its wake. The second major tenant of the Koda is the more you've been blessed the more responsible you are for the betterment of others. I have been blessed immensely as have many in the Noble Houses. During the Aetheric surge a few nights back the members of a cult that wished to bring deadly alien beings into our world by shattering the firmament performed a ritual to achieve thier apocalyptic ends. The expedition was tasked with stopping them and thankfully we were barely successful. However had the expedition failed and the ritual cast, there was one final solution. A Mulenti detective, a human Thranish crafter, a Valician priest and I had by various means of research and investigations had become linked to these evil beings. Not enough to sour our purposes but so that their influence was painful. The suicide of one of us could undo the ritual and deny them thier victory. The law of the Koda clearly states that to whom much has been given much is expected. Of the four I can honestly say that I have been blessed the most. The choice was more than obvious. I did not fear death or even the possibility that I may have been trapped beyond the firmament with horrors inescapable. I fear only that clinging such as we do to the past wrongs of our tradition we hinder our own enlightenment as a people and as a nation. In the end the Godess's fire will still burn. It lights the path of truth but you first must veer off the road of comfort. I implore you free your Homonculi, empower the Mulenti and step with me on the way to a brighter Ora.
