Hello Expeditioners,

I found this information back in event 1 and would like to know people’s thoughts on the matter or information that is related:

“This seems to a collection of notes regarding the theoretical idea that blight has or is sentient. It muses on several possibilities as to how this could occur. It hypothesizes that the elemental surging seen on large concentrations of blight might be actually mimicking something akin to an elemental gate, which all traditional living creatures have. At this point the notes seem to trail off, followed by one word all in caps and underlined: LEYLINES”

As a side note, I know other evidence was researched on this mod (stealth mission where we searched for information while avoiding danger whoops). So if anyone would like to share what they found, please do!

Fascinating... any suggestions as to how we might pursue the direct connection between the Entity and Leylines?

If we do commune with blight again soon, that could be a possible question to ask it. Another possibility is if we could somehow use a previous blight node that we have vivisected, or create or own; and study what happens if we connect it to a ley line ourselves. Thaumaturgists would be great to have on hand since their knowledge of the elements is greater than mine and a ritual to "perceive" what is happening to the blight on a energetic level may give us more insight. (I am also not sure if such a ritual is possible).

A consequence of recent actions may make direct contact with the Entity... ill advisable. It is possible that by forcibly removing Virgil from it's grasp it will perceive us as threats and become actively hostile towards us. It is difficult to anticipate it's reactions as it's perspective is so far removed from our own. I am not advocating against trying mind you but I want it understood the risks in play.

My Thaumaturgical knowledge is that of a layman's at best, but I think there is excellent potential in such a plan. Generally rituals have a single target, in this case the target I would surmise is the actual Ley-Line as that is what we want to see what is happening as influenced by the presence of A Blight Node. I do plan on creating a few of my own Hearts over the coming months; you of course will have full access to them for study or observation. As the creation process will involve rituals on their own I would hypothesize that I will be too preoccupied to lead such a ritual for you, but I would be happy to assist or advise.

The idea of leylines being involved in the formation of a Gate vaguely reminds me of how homunculi are created. Something about channeling quicksilver in some kind of circuit allows for a Gate to be created. The leylines are made up of quicksilver veins interconnected in a web throughout Galdria, so I am wondering if the thought process was to utilize the same principals of making a homunculi, but on a much larger scale. Does anybody have a more sophisticated understanding of this process?

A humoculi's gate is created by spinning quick silver around an aetheric engine,this circulation is similar to an organics heart.  Hope this helps with whatever craziness your trying to figure out!  ~A.Wrench of The  Eastwick Trading Coalition

If ley lines and quicksilver run together, wouldn't that make the entire ley line system some kind of gate in itself?
