Greetings Expeditioners!
While of course various reports are now coming across my desk, I would really like to hear more from each of you on a more personal level; official channels are very informative, but often lack some of what I have found most useful in more completely appraising myself of what is going on in the Expeditionary Township. I deeply apologize that I was unable to join you this Expedition; as many of you are aware, some political matters of familial and personal importance relevant to myself have happened recently, and I'm afraid I simply could not get out of a series of meetings with Parliament because of it. However, as long as I'm Mayor, my first priority is the success and well being of the Expeditionary Township, and so I hope that you all will be kind enough to furnish me with a frank and full appraisal of events, as you see them, that I might best continue to serve my post.
Thank you all,
Mayor Benjamin Harker

Mayor Harker,
I was sad I did not see you at the expedition, but I am glad to hear you are doing well! While the Expedition often has lots of bustle and business, two encounters in particular stand out to me.
1.) The warning from the Maiden of the Spring regarding the waterways still being poisoned. We have known since our third expedition that we would need to deal with the Quicksilver problem in two parts; first dealing with the mine, which is the source of the Quicksilver, then dealing with the Quicksilver that has already contaminated the area. Due to the aid from Wrench and the Eastwick Trading Coalition, members of the Expedition were able to forcibly collapse the mines. Now the decontamination process must be dealt with. But based on your postings, you and the Council seem to be aware of this issue already.
2.) While we were in Galdria during the first night of the Expedition, we came across a spirit. I believe her name is Alysaya. She said that for the past six hundred years, every 6th night, the spirits battle each other. This battle is waged between Galdrian forces and the forces of Edwin. We have heard some references regarding something known as "Edwin's War". From my understanding, a non-insignificant number of people banded together to combat the mistreatment of the Galdrian people, lead by a man named Edwin. Alysaya said she was not aware of any such mistreatment induced by the King of Galdria, but urged us to fight on whichever side we believed in, even if it meant fighting against her. I am hoping to do research on Edwin and his war; more specifically, I am hoping to try and verify the validity of Edwin's justification to rebel against the King of Galdria before the next Expedition. If you know anything regarding this subject, or where might be the best place to learn of such things, I would greatly appreciate the assistance.
I hope you will be able to find the time to make it to the upcoming feast in a few weeks!

Ahri,
Very interesting. Well, I'm not much of a historian, but I think your best bet would be to consult with the experts of Delbray, or else see if our friend Osmond might be able to facilitate some help from the Great Colleges, particularly the Basul University of Antiquities and Theology.Either way, I suspect there will be a lot of academic work ahead for anyone that would like to tease out more about this, though it does occur to me that if someone were less academic minded and instead more skilled in gathering information through traditional legwork and influence, you could always try finding leads by questioning any of the scholars that have worked in Aldgate; maybe they know something. That being said, do we know anything about Edwin already? I assume he was a noble, probably of significant rank, but that is just an assumption on my part. Regardless, any jumping off point might lead to a superior line of inquiry.
