The following has been posted to the Expedition Bulletin Board, as well as mailed to each member of the Expedition:
To the active members of the Galdrian Expedition,
Please find enclosed the official briefing for what was going to be the 16th, now considered the 18th Expedition due to the incursions rendered during the summer, commencing the 23rd of Arc of Reaping, 1221.
The following is to be considered of the utmost importance. Based upon reports from the Expeditionary scouting force, it has been confirmed by S.I.R.E.N, that the creature known as “The Entity” has either:
1-Figured out the use of theoretical thaumaturgical magic.
Or
2-It is at the precipice of figuring it out.
It can not be overstated how dangerous a creature that is immune (and in fact may be empowered) by the failure state of a ritual can be to every nation and person on Ora. Due to the severe nature of this threat, the Expeditionary council has attempted to broker a ceasefire of all hostilities until this threat has been dealt with. All nations save for Sulim have agreed to the ceasefire. Specifically Pasha Enver Yirdihim has refused any calls for ceasefire, thus the Rheansa border is still considered in a war state.
Additionally the Expeditionary Council is working with all accepting Nations to provide whatever aid that can be sent whether strategic, militarily or general renforcement to the Expedition while we undertake this most serious of threats.
Concurrently there is planned a series of talks between the Brotherhood of Artificial Life and the Khadaan remnant during the afternoon of the Sixthday [oog:Saturday] this will replace the normal influence brokering done during expeditions. It is expected that the Merchant Caravan of the Manu festival will be active at this time.
It is at this moment we shall all be tested to our limits to try to end this threat once and for all.
